Miles Jupp is an English comedian as well as an actor who is active in the entertainment field since 1999. He is featured in movies including Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and Sherlock Holmes.

The son of a minister in the United Reformed Church, Miles Jupp was born in London, England. He was born on 8 September 1979 and named Miles Hugh Barrett Jupp. He is of Huguenot ethnicity and has British nationality.

Miles Jupp studied at Hall School in Hampstead, North London, St George’s School in Windsor, and then at Oakham School in Rutland. He studied Divinity at the University of Edinburgh.

While he was at the University he joined the improvised comedy troupe the Improvers and took part in pantomime productions with the Edinburgh University Theatre Company at Bedlam Theatre.
