Who is Malala Yousafzai?

Malala Yousafzai is a Pakistani activist for female education and the youngest Nobel Prize laureate.

Similarly, she is well known for human rights advocacy, especially the education of women and children in her native Swat Valley in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northwest Pakistan, where the local Taliban stays.

Malala Yousafzai was born in Mingora, Swat, Pakistan on July 12, 1997, to parents Ziauddin Yousafzai and Toor Pekai Yousafzai. She has two siblings namely, Atal Yousafzai and Khushal Yousafzai. She belongs to Pakistani- Canadian nationality and Pashtun ethnicity. Her birth sign is Cancer.

Her childhood was not normal because her place was captured by terrorist groups and they had many objections in the name of Islam. They used to kill civilians, soldiers, policemen, etc. for their profit. The people in her valley lived in fear of dying anytime soon.

Talking about her profession, she was interviewed on the national Pashto-language station AVT Khyber, the Urdu-language Daily Aaj, and Canada’s Toronto Star.

Similarly, she also made a second appearance on Capital Talk on 19 August 2009. Likewise, she also began appearing on television to publicly advocate for female education. In fact from 2009 to 2010 she was the chair of the District Child Assembly of the Khpal Kor Foundation 2009 2010.

Besides that, Malala Yousafzai was the first Pakistani girl to be nominated for the award. Similarly, in 2011, Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani awarded her the National Peace Award for Youth.
