Professional Life, Career

The Boston Red Sox drafted him in the 5th round of the draft and selected him as a shortstop.

Will Middlebrooks made his professional debut in 2008 with the Lowell Spinners where he batted .254 with a home run.

In 2009, he played for the Greenville Drive of the Class A South Atlantic League, where he batted with an average of .265 with 7 home runs and 57 RBIs.

In 2010, he played for the Salem Red Sox and batted with an average of .276 with 70 RBIs, and 12 home runs.

On May 2, 2012, he was finally promoted in the Major League by the Red Sox.
