Snoop Dogg is an American renowned rapper, actor, songwriter, record producer, and entrepreneur. He gained popularity after featuring on Dr. Dre’s debut solo single, “Deep Cover and album The Chronic.

His latest studio album is From that Streets 2 that Suites released in 2021. He is co-hosting the variety show, Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party alongside Martha Stewart.

The name of his parents is Vernell Varnado (father) and Beverly Tate (mother). His father, Vernell was also a Vietnam War veteran, singer, and mail carrier. Just after three months of his birth, Vernell left the family.

• He released his first album, Doggystyle produced by Dre in 1993. The album peaked at the No.1 spot on Billboard’s hip-hop and Top 200 charts.
• He also worked in the soundtrack of the short film, Murder Was the Case which went double platinum.
• Snoopy founded a record label, Doggy Style Records, Inc on July 6, 1995. He released his second album, Tha Doggfather in November 1996.
• In March 1998, he signed with Master p’s No Limit Records and debuted on the label with Da Game Is to Be Sold, Not to Be Told.
• Aside from music, he has appeared in numerous films including ‘The Wash’, ‘Bones’, ‘Mac, and Decin Go to High School’, ‘Half Baked’, ”Traning Day’, ‘Starsky & Hutch’, and ‘Bruno’.
• In 2005, he founded his own production company, Snoopadelic Films and their debut film was Boss’n Up.
• He also appeared at WrestleMania XXIV as a Master of Ceremonies for a tag team match between Maria and Ashley Massaro on March 30, 2008.
