Pierre-Édouard Bellemare began his ice hockey career with the Dragons de Rouen of the Saxoprint Ligue Magnus during the 2002–03 season.
He spent four seasons with the Dragons. After the 2005–06season, he joined the Leksands IF of the Swedish league HockeyAllsvenskan.
During the 2009–10 season, he signed with the Skellefteå AIK of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). With the Skellefteå AIK, he won the Swedish Championship twice in 2013 and 2014.
