Lori Stokes was born on Sep 16, 1962, in Cleveland, Ohio under the birth sign of Virgo. She was born to parents Louis Stokes and Jay Stokes. Stokes was mainly raised by her mother and she gives her full support to Lori on every step of life.

Stokes started her journalistic career as the medical reporter and weekend co-anchor as well at WCIA in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois in 1986. In 1988, she served as a reporter and weekend anchor for WBTV in Charlotte, North Carolina. So that within two years, she became famous with the viewers in that state.

Stokes acted as a crime and street reporter for WBFF-TV, the Fox Station in Baltimore. Lastly, Stokes took hands-on experience for the full-time anchor as WJLA-TV’s lead woman anchor for the 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. newscasts from 1992 to 1996.

Then after Stokes went to MSNBC at that time of its inception. Stokes was one of the real reporters on the 24-hour cable news television channel. During her occupation at the cable TV station, Stokes reached the Columbine High School Massacre and the death of John F. Kennedy, Jr. in 1999.

Lori Stokes married Brian Thompson and began to live very happily with her husband.
