Kashmira Cooke is a younger sister of the late singer-songwriter, Freddie Mercury but has to lead her own individual life.
She came into the limelight after her brother Mercury became the singing sensation as Queen’s lead singer.
Who are the parents of Kashmira Cooke?
Cooke was born to their father Bomi Bulsara and Jer Bulsara in 1952 in Zanzibar, Tanzania (then British India).
Her birth name is Kashmira Bulsara but she later took her husband’s name as Kashmira Cooke after her marriage.
Cooke was born to Parsi parents from India. Her parents fled Tanzania during the Zanzibar Revolution and moved to Middlesex, England in 1964 when she was 12 years.
As Zanzibar was a British protectorate until 1963, Cooke was born a British citizen.
Cooke’s brother Freddie Mercury is 6 years older than her. He died on November 24, 1991, at age of 45. The cause of his death was Bronchopneumonia as a complication of AIDS.
Even after his death, she along with her parents supported the Queen band and attended their concert.
Kashmira Cooke’s father, Bomi died in 2003, and his mother, Jer passed “quietly and peacefully in her sleep” in November 2016.

The news was confirmed by Cooke at a press conference. She stated that her mother died quietly and peacefully in her deep sleep. Bulsara receives a private Zoroastrian funeral ceremony.
The year of her death also marks the 25th anniversary of Mercury’s death who passed on Nov. 24, 1991.
