In 1977, The Loving Awareness Band broke up and joined a new band formed by Ian Dury. The band was invited to join the ‘Live Stiffs Tour’ and the band Ian Dury and the Blockheads was formed.

The tour also featured  Elvis Costello and the Attractions, Nick Lowe, Wreckless Eric, and Larry Wallis.

Ian Dury and the Blockheads quickly gained popularity as one of the top live bands. This band built a dedicated following in the UK and other countries and scored several hits singles.

The band gives us notable hits like Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll, Billericay Dickie, What a Waste, and many more.
