Early Life and Education:
The daughter of Susan Paulette (née Norris) and James Edwin Mays, Jayma Mays was born in Bristol, Tennessee but raised in Grundy, Virginia. She earned an associate’s degree from Southwest Virginia Community College after graduating from Grundy High School. Mays then attended Virginia Tech for a year before transferring to Radford University. She was offered a job at a local radio station at the age of 15.
Career:
On Joey (2004), she made her first appearance on the television screen and a year later, in Red Eye, she debut in a movie in supporting roles. She has played the love interest of a character played by Maski Oka in two different roles: Charlie Andrews on Heroes and Nina in Get Smart’s
Bruce and Lloyd: Out Of Control. She also had the lead role starred as Emma Pillsbury on the Fox show Glee (2009).
Mays other contribute include How I Met Your Mother, Heroes, Six Feet Under, Stacked, Ghost Whisper. Besides this, she was in other movies such as Flags Of Our Fathers, Bar Starz and Blind Guy Driving. She also had appeared as the patient on House (2006) in the episode “Sleeping Dogs Lie.” She helped to raise awareness of the disease ALS by participating in the Ice Bucket Challenge in August 2014.

She is married to Adam Campbell (October 28, 2007-Present). She met him on the set of Epic Movie (2007). In April 2016, they announced that they were expecting their first child. They welcomed their son Jude in August 2016.
