A native of Oklahoma City, Huda Kattan was born on October 2, 1983, to Iraqi parents: Ibrahim Kattan and Susu Al Qazzaz. She has raised alongside her siblings: two sisters, Mona (youngest) and Alya (oldest), and a brother named Khalid.

Regarding her academic qualifications, Huda attended the University of Michigan–Dearborn where she majored in finance.

Kattan relocated to Los Angeles, and there she studied makeup. Later, she returned to Dubai, where she joined Revlon as a makeup artist.

In April 2010, Huda started a beauty-related WordPress blog upon the advice of one of her sisters, which she named “Huda Beauty” on which she posts makeup tutorials and tips.

In 2013, Huda launched a cosmetics line which, “Huda Beauty,” where one of her sisters, Mona, is her business partner, while another sister, Alya manages Huda’s social media.

Huda Kattan is a happily married woman. She tied the knot with her long-time boyfriend, Chris Goncalo. The duo met at the University of Michigan-Dearborn where Kattan studied finance. They relocated to Dubai in 2006 and got married later two years.
