Her father, Joseph Gimpel is an actor, singer, and short story writer by profession. Also, her mother, Phyllis Bash is a concert singer. They first met in a studio and fell in love. Later, they got married in the early ’60s.

As a child, Erica Gimpel traveled to the United States and Europe along with her mother. At the time, her mother used to perform the play Porgy and Bess.

Last, in 2020, she appeared in the movie, Sylvie’s Love as Eunice. Besides the movie, she played important characters in TV series like Veronica Mars, ER, and The Young and the Restless.

Since 2018, she is making her appearance in the series, God Friended Me as Trish. The third season of the series was canceled due to coronavirus.
