Daryl Mitchell was born on July 16, 1965, in New York City, New York, the United States of America. Daryl holds an American nationality and belongs to white ethnicity. His mother was a secretary while his father used to work as a driver. Mitchell grew up in Wyandanch along with his siblings.

Mitchell started his career from 1985 television series The Cosby Show, playing Old Head Guy in Club. His film debut was in the 1990 film House Party where he portrayed the role of Chill. He appeared as Reginald Beggs in 1992’s television series Law & Order, featuring Dianne Wiest, Annie Parisse, George Dzundza, Dann Florek, and Michael Moriarty.
