Benrubi was born on October 4, 1969, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the US as Abraham Rubin Hercules Benrubi.
He is the eldest son of Patricia and Asher Benrubi.
His father was a rock singer and is currently a radio personality known as “Smash” to St. Louis radio audiences.
