In 2017, Simon West directed Gun Shy, a musical comedy starring Antonio Banderas and based on Mark Haskell Smith’s novel Salty. Skyfire, a big-budget disaster film from China, was directed by West in 2019, and will also direct The Legend Hunters, a Chinese action film.
